Regional Office Development Manager Barbados

As the organiser of some of the biggest and most iconic sport events in the world we lead the way in the sport and event industry.

We are now looking for a Regional Office Development Manager Barbados that is part of FIFA and supports us on our mission.

These are your key tasks:
•Managing the operations, administrative functions and staff of the regional office in Barbados
•Acting as the primary point of contact for the respective member associations in the region
•Providing strategic guidance to member associations and recommendations to FIFA HQ for development support
•Contacting and supporting the member associations in the Caribbean region on matters related to FIFA
•Promoting the FIFA Forward Programme in the member associations, confederation and zonal association
•Analysing the current football situation in the region
•Managing the implementation of the FIFA Forward Programme
•Monitoring member associations, confederation and zonal association during the proposal, implementation and reporting stages of projects
•Ensuring that the financial support provided to member associations for running costs is defined and implemented in line with FIFA Forward framework
•Ensuring compliance with the FIFA Forward regulations as well as the implementation of transparent and efficient processes by member associations
•Monitoring potential institutional situations in the region and informing the member association's Regional Director
•Reporting to the FIFA Director for MA Americas


The specific competencies we require for this position are:
•Ability to establish good and trusting working relationships with key persons

•Strong leader and good communicator
•Good at resolving conflicts and setting priorities
•Has an affinity for football and FIFA
•Fluent in English, advanced level of French (other FIFA languages would be an advantage)
•Track record of successfully implementing inclusive and diverse international projects/programmes
•At least three years' experience of working with football stakeholders (e.g. member associations, confederations, zonal associations, clubs, regional associations)
•Educated to degree level with more than five years' management experience
•Good understanding of football's business environment and framework
•Sound knowledge of football development
•Knowledge of the local/regional football community and stakeholders as well as of the country or region would be an advantage
•Sound presentation skills, excellent command of Microsoft Office
•Excellent skills in drafting formal communications in the relevant languages
