Stoke City Community Trust is the official charity of Stoke City Football Club, using the power of the club’s brand to inspire and motivate people of all ages. Due to our continued success, we are now looking to add to our skilled team.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Project Worker - Youth Mentor to join our team who will provide one to one mentoring to young people across Stoke and Staffordshire. Our mentoring programme provides young people with targeted support to help them develop coping strategies and increase resilience to negative influences.
Ideal candidates will have experience of working with young people aged 11-18 in a range of settings, be passionate, committed and professional.
The successful applicant will be:
Developing safe and professional relationships with young people.
Working independently as well as part of a team to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
Planning and delivering interventions to influence positive change.
Managing a caseload of young people.
Providing personalised and professional support.
A full driving licence is essential.
The salary for this position will be based on the skills and experience of the candidate with an expected starting salary for this post within the range of £23,000 to £26,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
The position will be offered on a fixed term contract, initially for 12 months. All relevant training will be provided.
