If you are interested in a once-in-a-lifetime job in the sports industry, this is your chance. We are looking for someone to lead and strengthen the team in charge of organizing the biggest women's sporting event in the world: the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023.

To ensure the successful operational delivery of the ninth edition of this competition, we have set up a Local FIFA Subsidiary (LFS). Its aim is to improve the experience of over 1.1 billion people watching the FIFA Women's World Cup, by delivering innovative solutions across all operational areas.

We are currently looking to recruit our Project Manager - New Zealand

Job responsibilities
Based in Auckland and under the guidance the Chief Operating Officer, the Project Manager has responsibility for the successful integration of the project management guidelines and principles within the LFS. The Project Manager acts as a liaison between various stakeholders in terms of Project Management topics.

The Project Manager needs to guide the successful delivery of the project in New Zealand, through the provision of strategic and operational support, including operational reporting, risk-issue tracking and tracking of key milestones and tasks.

Job duties
The Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the collaborative development of the project management elements, namely:
Expand, update and maintain the master project plan related to New Zealand deliverables from a LFS and Host city perspective
Provide regular updates to the Executive Leadership Team, COO and Heads of department in New Zealand regarding progress on tasks, milestones and issues
Assist in the development of the Functional Area Operating Plans and Site Operating Plans.
Risk and issue capturing and monitoring
Generating various levels of management reporting as required
Contingency planning and crisis management
Tournament time reporting and incident management
Management of policies and procedures
Ensure thorough transfer of knowledge management principles are adhered to, including collaboration on debriefs, photo capture and key documents to be reused for future events
