ABOUT THE ROLE
This fixed-term role focuses on Principle IV, VII, IX and X and is based in the area of Participation. Football Australia works in partnership with its stakeholders to drive participation outcomes and ensure the best quality experiences for all participants. This role is responsible for the management and operations of FA’s MiniRoos Programs (MiniRoos Kick-Off, MiniRoos Club & MiniRoos Schools Programs) and FA’s Whole of Football Schools Framework including National Primary Schools and High School programs within the two states.
Managing a small team, the role will work with their team and key stakeholders Member Federations and Associations in strategic planning for program growth and development, identifying opportunities for diversification of grassroots programs and ensure consistency of delivery within Australia.
Please note that this role is fixed-term until December 2024.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Overall management and administration of MiniRoos Programs and Whole of Football Schools Framework in the NSW / ACT Region;
Management of full time operational and delivery staff
Lead the Member Federations, Associations, local clubs and other key stakeholders in Australian Sports Commission and commercial partners to a one football delivery model
Design and oversee the implementation of MiniRoos and Schools Resources, guidelines and principles to enhance the quality program experience within the workforce
Lead FA Marketing, Communications, and Digital teams to execute MiniRoos and Schools deliverables
Overseeing the implementation of MiniRoos activations for FA events within the NSW / ACT region

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum 3 years’ experience in a management position
Completed tertiary qualifications in sport management/administration or a related area of study
Demonstrative experience in project management and implementation. Management of community sport projects highly desirable
A team player with experience leading a team
Sound interpersonal skills with an ability to manage relationships and negotiate terms
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Understanding of marketing principles and their application
Demonstrated experience working/volunteering within schools or sporting clubs/organisations
Full working rights in Australia
Working with children check (paid/ employee) or state- based equivalent
Out of hours and weekend work as required
