We are seeking a highly motivated, diligent, and hardworking individual to contribute to our Academy mission of supporting individuals to fulfil their potential.
The role will see the successful candidate work within the Professional Development Phase (PDP), specifically overseeing the Performance Analysis of our Under 18’s squad as part of our recently formed Insights team.
Reporting to the Insights Manager the successful candidate will contribute to player development processes and play a key role in preparing players for the transition into first team football environments.
Ensure all matches and training sessions are filmed and stored effectively within our Analysis library, accessible to all players and staff
Ensure all matches and training sessions are coded in line with player needs and MDT requirements within agreed timelines
Commit to undertaking an individualised approach when working directly with players in a variety of settings or through varied mediums (i.e., individual sessions, pre-matches, team meeting, player reviews etc.)
Attend weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings to plan and review the Under 18 programme
Attend weekly Insights department meetings and positively contribute to the evolution of the department overtime
Act as a day-to-day supervisor for one placement student (appointed annually)
Work collaboratively with the Data Science department to deliver ‘Action Focused Insights’
Provide video and data analysis to support the Talent ID & Recruitment department
To carry out the above responsibilities successfully candidates should be exceptionally organised, dedicated and have the flexibility to adjust their working pattern from time to time based on the needs of the programme.
Candidates must have extensive experience of filming, the use of filming equipment, coding software and be able to demonstrate positive contributions to player development settings in the recent past.
Previous experience of working in a professional or Academy football environment as a Performance Analyst is essential. Candidates must have an in-date FA Safeguarding and First Aid certificate. We will complete a background check (DBS) as part of the process. A master’s degree in Performance Analysis (or an equivalent qualification) and a UEFA B coaching licence are both desirable.
