Job Title:Procurement Manager
Location:FAI Headquarters, Abbotstown, Dublin, Ireland
Direct Reporting Line To:Finance Director
Commencement Date:ASAP

The Position:
As Procurement Manager, you will be leading the ongoing development of the FAI Procurement Department as well as overseeing a wide range of products and services spend and be involved in category areas such as HR, Professional Services, Marketing, Team Operations, Grassroots and Logistics. You will identify opportunities for consolidating spend and undertaking tendering and contract management opportunities for a wide range of requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead strategic Procurement planning across the Association in consultation with key business departments and establish procurement KPIs for departments.
Manage new supplier onboarding and contract performance management programme to include SLA and KPI implementation.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Lead the negotiation and supplier selection within the approved vendor/central services framework
Lead Procurement projects across the Association including central service and supply areas ensuring business needs are aligned across the Association, category spend is managed effectively and drive quality and cost savings for the Association.
Ensure procurement support is provided to other improvement projects across the business.


Ensure compliance with the FAI Procurement Policy and other applicable FAI policies is maintained on an ongoing basis by all staff and those with responsibility for acquiring goods/services on behalf of the Association.
Implement pipeline tracking and contract management across the business to ensure strong planning for renewals and new tenders.
Continual assessment and support of the procurement policy, procedures and staff training to optimise administrative efficiencies by researching best practice in the industry.
Conduct staff training as required.
Delivery of comprehensive and complete administration processes, tender management, record keeping, reporting, and budgeting procedures.
Reporting to FAI Senior Management, Board and external stakeholders as required both orally and in writing.
Help drive digital transformation by identifying and integrating procurement systems to further enhance the procurement function of the Association.
Supporting and in some cases leading the development of new FAI policies and procedures as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as the role and the Department evolves


Key Skills and Experience Required:

3+ years of experience in a similar role
Strong end to end procurement sourcing and category management experience
A recognised project management qualification would be advantageous
Proven interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with all levels of management and stakeholders
Proven I.T skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Well organised, process and team-oriented with the ability to prioritise quickly
Highly motivated self-starter: ability to initiate and manage work with minimal supervision
Commercially aware and financially astute
