Sounding good so far?The Purpose: As the Procurement Assistant, your primary role involves providing essential support to the procurement team by conducting pricing and tender analysis. You will also be responsible for maintaining Pricing and Supplier databases, working in collaboration with the finance team to enhance supplier categorisation, and preparing for upcoming tenders.The Role:
Support the Procurement team with pricing and tender analysis
Maintenance of Pricing and Supplier databases
Work with the finance team to improve categorisation of suppliers
Preparatory work for forthcoming tenders
Management of tender processes and liaison with tenderers
Working closely with the Finance team to resolve current pricing and PO issues, and historic bill validation
Accountability for a number of KPI and playing a pivotal role in analysing and maintaining the health of key supplier relationships
Assist stakeholders in resolving supplier issues when problems are escalated to Procurement
The Person:
Keen interest in Procurement and working towards MCIPS level (or equivalent)
Exceptional ability to manage workload and identify high priority tasks
Highly literate with advanced Excel knowledge preferable
Strong data analysis skills
Keen eye for detail
Highly organised
Energetic manner
Continuously seek to identify ways to improve
Strong planning and organisational skills with an ability to focus on agreed priorities, getting things done efficiently and effectively
Flexible with a strong work ethic
Achievement oriented with high commitment, resilience and a positive attitude
Excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
Effective in one to one situations or meetings, able to express ideas and transmit information clearly in writing.
