What is the role?

This role will be responsible for providing analytical support and video feedback for the Player Pathway Department and identified individual players.

What will you be doing?

You will be producing video and data feedback reports to support the feedback process for individuals on loan, involved in international programmes and the High Potential Player Programme. The role will also involve producing player video dossiers to market players for loans, international consideration and exit strategies, along with producing video dossiers of potential clubs to highlight suitability for identified loan players.

You will also prepare progress video reports and reviews for identified Under 14-21s players for player pathway meetings and audit processes, along with liaising with loan clubs and national associations to receive all match footage involving Under 14-21 players.

You will be responsible for leading the management of the PMA system, ensuring all relevant information is uploaded in a timely and professional manner, along with contributing to the creation of the best practice library with clips in relation to game model, play profiles and individual player needs.

Other Duties include:


Conducting live and video scouting to support the Player Pathway Programme.
Supporting the design and management of an individual tracking system to monitor the relevance and variety of training and games programmes for Under 14-21 players.
Supporting the collation of information to support internal and external audit processes.
Providing additional support to the Individual Data Scientist, Academy Recruitment Analyst and Head of Academy Performance Analysis, where required.
Supporting the development of the software and technology plan for the Player Pathways Department.
Carrying out any other reasonable management requests, including moving age groups within the same phase or wider Academy.


Person Specification:

Undergraduate degree in performance analysis, sports science or relevant qualification.
Minimum three years performance analysis experience within Academy or International Youth football at relevant age groups.
UEFA B Licence (desirable).
Ability to demonstrate a strong level of game knowledge and understanding.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and develop as a key member of staff.
