We are seeking a Player Care Specialist to join our mission by supporting our players from on-boarding through the end of season as their primary point of contact. ROLE & RESPONSIBILIITES:Share in our mission.Role model our Club values and expectations; share their importance for our Club’s success.As the main point of contact for all players and trialists support their needs and resolve issues proactively or as they arise.Onboard new players and help them acclimate to San Diego and our Club; this includes overseeing player relocation logistics and proactively providing details and timelines to relevant groups and individuals as applicable (e.g. temporary/long-term housing, moving, transportation, schools, translators, phones, visas, bank accounts, state IDs).Transition outgoing players and, where applicable, work with other Clubs for a seamless transition.Assist in booking player flights, transportation, hotel rooms, and other accommodations, as needed.Assist with players and their guest(s) game tickets, credentials, and hospitality arrangements during our games. As the visiting team’s primary point of contact and liaison, assist in coordinating and managing ambassadors assigned to help the visiting team before, during, and after the game. Assist Marketing with scheduling and coordinating player appearances.Communicate pertinent information to players maintaining confidentiality, when applicable.At all times, maintain a professional relationship with players, trialists, Wave FC employees, fans, and external partners or vendors.Collaborate with the Wave FC employees and external vendors to support our players.Prepare and assist with team bonding activities.Develop, plan, and execute projects to support our players and trialists, as applicable.Adapt quickly as Club needs evolve. QUALIFIED?Bachelor’s degree.2+ years related work experience on a professional sports team or collegiate sports team, preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of current National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) rules and regulations, including the Collective Bargaining Agreement, preferred.Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and solutions-orientated.Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, games, and events outside of traditional business hours. Professional, positive, and proactive.Desire and ability to take on responsibilities in a fast-paced, start-up environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); and ability to learn required business systems WE SUPPORT OUR TEAMOur people are our club.
