Role description

The Chicago Red Stars is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and conscientious professional to assist with player operations and accommodations for incoming players to our team.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Act on behalf of the club as the main point of contact for players to address questions about transportation, housing, non-soccer activities, personal concerns, and other mattersAssist as the point of contact for players' families, such as coordinating their travel when accompanying the team and ensuring that players with children receive childcare stipendsServe as the liaison between the club’s front office and the team to facilitate player public appearance requestsCoordinate domestic and international travel and accommodations for incoming players and their immediate families when applicableManage player relocation expenses for moves, automobile shipments, gas reimbursements, etc.Facilitate the drop-off/pick-up of club-provided vehicles and manage player insurance coverageServe as a liaison between the club, players, and rental property managersManage player housing arrangements, key distributions, utility payments, and maintenance requestsProvide transportation for new players to airports, housing, and team-related appointmentsAssist international players with the United States acclimation process, including establishing banking, obtaining social security numbers, mobile phone service, immigration visas, etc.Assist players with the team onboarding process and integration into the city and team culture and environmentEnsure new players have access to team and league benefits and resources, including meals, communications, childcare stipends, tickets, equipment, and medical and performance staff servicesEnsure that players are aware of pertinent information, procedures, and updates regarding games, events, and team operationsFacilitate new player onboarding and integration into the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).Ensure that all governing organizations’ requirements and protocols are followed for games, training sessions, and daily proceedingsProvide operational support for team training and game day experience as needed. QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.1-3 years of team management experience preferred.Required to attend all home games, with the possibility of travel to limited away games if needed.Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends, especially in the summer months.Exceptional collaboration, courtesy, negotiation, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.Excellent verbal and written communication.Ability to be creative and find innovative and effective solutions to common and unforeseen issues.Passionate, driven, tenacious, and personable with a strong commitment to enhancing player, staff, and team relationships.All employees must complete an online background check, have access to a vehicle, and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.The Chicago Red Stars is an equal-opportunity employer.
