What is the role?
You will be reporting directly into the Player Care Manager and will provide coordinated all round care and support to Southampton Football Club players from both B Team and First Team squad. To provide best in class support service to our elite athletes and discover and implement best practice, encourage innovation and creativity in the field of Player care delivery to professionals with the aim in becoming a leader in the industry.
The aim of the role is to support each individual, moving towards achieving self-reliance in most off-field responsibilities. This is a support role and not a concierge role. Team travel will be infrequent but the individual in post should expect occasional travel, weekend working and out of hours commitments.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a person who is a self-starter, someone who is eager to not only embrace the role but to progress it. You are the type of person who is highly organised, up for a challenge and thrives under pressure. You must be flexible with your working hours as this role will require you to work matchdays, weekends and evenings.
The competencies which are required include:
· Experience in a similar role or equivalent
· Multilingual abilities, preferably French or Spanish
Desirable Qualifications (including certifications):
· Degree level qualification in Psychology or equivalent
· IT literate (Competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Good communication skills
· Ability to work on evenings and weekends when required
· Self motivated
· Trustworthy and discrete
· Ability to multitask
· Used to handling confidential information
· Ability to hold challenging conversations
· Ability to work under pressure
· Ability to problem solve.
· Excellent people skills.
· Full clean UK Driving License
· Meticulously organised.
