ROLE DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Performance Analysis Intern DEPARTMENT: Video Performance Analysis, Soccer OperationsREPORTS TO: Assistant Video Performance Analyst NOTES: This is an in-person position based at our facility in Kissimmee, Florida. The intern must be able to receive academic credit for this role. The duration of this internship depends on the applicant's ability to receive academic credit for this opportunity.  INTERNSHIP SUMMARY Intern(s) will be involved in the day-to-day process of video and performance analysis with Orlando City staff and players. The intern's primary duties will be to support the coaching staff of Orlando City B (OCB), the club's MLS Next Pro affiliate team.DESIRED SCHEDULEIntern(s) will work on-site at the training facility, and their schedule will largely mirror that of OCB's training schedule. These times can vary, but generally will consist of practices on weekday mornings and select weekends. The ideal candidate would be available from roughly 8 a.m. to noon on weekdays, and would be expected to work on-site 4 or 5 days a week. ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES Support coaching staff by filming OCB training sessions (via drone) and managing the team's training footage database. Assist in editing select training/match film developed in-house for the purpose of scouting and self-scouting. Assist in preparation of all training sessions and matches as requested by OCB coaching staff. Assist in maintaining inventory, video equipment (including spiideo camera system), tapes, and peripheral equipment and supplies. Perform other projects as assigned by coaches or analysts.QUALIFICATIONS Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in sport management or related fields. Knowledge of soccer on a tactical and technical level. Prior experience with analysis/video editing tools is preferred, but not required. Prior experience flying a drone is preferred, but not required.Strong written, verbal, and technological skills. Strong attention to detail. Selfless and professional attitude. Ability to work flexible hours if needed. Disclaimer: This unpaid internship is intended to be an in-person learning opportunity, with the intern working approximately 25 hours in the facility per week, or as needed. About Orlando City and Orlando Pride:   With two major professional teams, Orlando City and Orlando Pride, the Orlando City Soccer Club (OCSC) has established itself as one of the preeminent Clubs in professional soccer.
