Job Summary

Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English Premier League Club, based in North London, with millions of global followers.

The Club is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support our busy payroll function on a fixed term contrct for a period of 9 months. Our 7 payrolls, covering a diverse staff base, are run in-house covering all areas of the Club from grounds and retail to the charitable Foundation.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will be integral to the end to end preparation, processing and delivery of payrolls across the Club.

Key Responsibilities


Administer full payroll lifecycle each month.
Preparing and processing all incoming payroll data including new starters, leavers, changes and timesheets. Calculation of statutory and legislative adjustments including sickness, maternity and average holiday pay.
Reconciling payrolls for sign off.
Generate and upload BACS files.
Complete RTI submissions.
Create, balance and post manual payroll journals. Resolve any queries raised by Management Accountants
Distribution of payslips, P45, P60.
Provide timely and accurate reporting at month end to various Stakeholders and Third Party Providers
Generate schedules for Maternity Pay
Administer deductions for salary sacrifice including CCV and C2W
Manage payroll queries effectively with a high level of customer service
Assist with Year End tasks including P11D preparation

Skills Experience


A minimum 2 years’ experience working within an in-house payroll function (not outsourced or bureau)
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Excel including vlookups and pivot tables
Working knowledge of Statutory and Legislative regulations and payments including SSP, SMP, SPP, SHPP, Autoenrolment
