JOB TITLE: Partnerships ExecutiveREPORTING TO: Head of CommercialSALARY: 25,000 per annumCONTRACT: PermanentHOURS OF WORK: Nominal 35 hour working week (including all home matchdays).
ROLE PURPOSEThe role is to support the continued development and success of the Club short and long term commercial platform. Aligned with playing a key role in developing the club revenue streams, the position will drive partnership sales and new business opportunities on a day-to-day basis.
As Partnerships Executive, you will account manage all contacts ensuring that communication is constant, strong relationships are maintained and all commercial inventory is fulfilled. Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be one of your main strengths in order to find new contacts and develop existing accounts to generate greater income.
Your role will also require you to work closely with senior managers including Media Communications Manager and Ticketing Manager on partnership announcements, advertisements and ticketing allocations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Lead sales of club sponsorship and advertising assets and packages2. Handling outbound telephone calls to prospective clients (i.e. cold calling) and pursuing leads to sales conversion3. Lead and/or play a key role in dedicated and specific commercial projects aligned with revenue generation4. Cross selling and up selling of client into other commercial areas such as hospitality and events5. Develop an excellent understanding of the Nots County Football Club commercial portfolio in order to target clients and businesses and drive commercial sales6. Responsible for the account management for all commercial club sponsors, ensuring the best standards of customer service and client satisfaction are upheld via frequent calls, emails and catch-up meetings7. Building upon existing relationships with commercial club sponsors, hospitality guests and conferencing and events clients to encourage greater income generation through a variety of channels8. Responding to inbound telephone and email sales leads in a prompt and efficient manner and calling these leads to follow up9. Creating and atending appointments i.e frequently meeting and showing around prospective clients to sell’ the venue in a professional, warm and friendly manner showcasing knowledge and awareness of the club from a match and non-matchday perspective.10. Leading, arranging and participating in local networking groups and forums to develop the club brand and awareness of our commercial platforms.11. Liaise with other departments relating to account management for all commercial club sponsors e.g. ticketing allocations, managing the content of commercial pages in the matchday programme etc.12. On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with the Events Executive and Hospitality Executive, helping to support whilst providing cover in absence relating to non-matchday event and hospitality sales.13. Work with the Hospitality Executive on matchdays relating to guests atending matches as hospitality guests.14. Any other duties commensurate with the nature and scope of your role.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION1. Passionate about developing, progressing and driving forwards a successful commercial platform.2. Excellent sales skills and results driven sales experience3. Experience in high corporate volume sales within the Nottinghamshire area4. First class communication and IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint5. Professional customer service skills and ability to demonstrate excellent product knowledge combined with enthusiasm and friendliness6. Excellent networking skills, with the ability to develop and establish relationships with new and existing businesses
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION1. Previous sales experience, ideally within a similar previous role2. Confidence in being able to work and liase with a wide range of individuals from both the football and corporate worlds3. Sound knowledge of local businesses4. Appreciation of quality service, an eye for detail and going above and beyond where possible5. Strong administrative and organisational skills6. Must be able to work under pressure, at business-critical times, multi-tasking and prioritising workloads as necessary7. Fantastic atenttion to detail required in order to manage client accounts successfully and in the provision of accurate data to support and reflect the club commercial success8. Proactively takes on new responsibilities and tasks to learn and enhance their own skills9. Pervious experience working towards sales targets10. Adaptable approach to work and working hours and understands the requirements of the business to work outside of office hours as necessary
