Role description

Purpose:

The Partnership Marketing Manager, China will support City Football Group China’s commercial team in managing a growing portfolio of global and regional partners across Mainland China. This role will also work closely with the Head of Partnership Marketing APAC in delivering broader objectives for the City Football Group across areas such as media, retail, FRM, tours and football education.

Accountabilities with Key Outcomes:



Working with Partnership Marketing - Asia and UK based team to ensure a consistent, best-in-class approach to managing CFG Chinese partners
Working with UK based colleagues to coordinate the delivery of locally based assets – notably anything to do around the stadium (tickets, hospitality, tours etc…) and the squad (training ground visits, player meet & greets etc…)
Supporting the Director of Commercial and Operations, China where appropriate in developing compelling marketing strategies and campaigns for partners, leveraging all relevant assets
Day to day management and responsibility for a select number of partners (TBD) to deliver commercial outcomes
Taking a proactive approach to managing partners throughout the duration of the partnership and adhering to the policies around which we conduct partnerships
Managing partner events and activations across China where representation from the club is required, such as trophy tours and MCFC Fan Zones
Help to create compelling content for partner communications including email bulletins, partner newsletters etc.
Capturing in-depth partnership case studies (including metrics) that can be used internally within future Partnership Marketing and Partnership Sales efforts
Travelling outside of the China as required to attend partner forums, meetings and in order to build effective working relationships with the UK-based team
Protecting and enhancing the reputation of CFG at all times
Compliance with CFG policies
Compliance with the CFG health and safety procedures
To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:



General:

Business fluency in Chinese and English
Strong team ethic and collaborative nature – confident managing multiple stakeholders
Strong team management skills
Well organised with consistent attention to detail
Self-sufficient and proactive
Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment
Broad commercial acumen
Familiarity with regional landscape (culture and business)


Industry-specific:

Sound knowledge of the global and local football landscape
Familiarity with sports/football sponsorship contracts and rights packages
High-level skills in all aspects of partner/client service
Experience in a rights-holder/club environment*


Technical skills:

Competent in standard Microsoft Programmes (Excel, PowerPoint etc..)
