The FA are looking for Team Managers to provide team management support at national and international camps and competitions across Para Football teams and multi-squad (MS) camps.
This will be a casual contract with an end date of 31st July 2025 and will involve a maximum of 65 days of work across the season.
What You'll Be Doing
We are recruiting for two additional team managers to join our existing team. The roles will have different focuses as detailed below:
Team Manager 1; to provide support to our development programme, including within senior camps and across development camps, such as the National Regional Emerging Talent camps.
Team Manager 2; to provide bank support to our current Team Manager's and regularly attend camps/fixtures/tournaments across our senior and development programme.
Candidates will be asked to if they wish to be considered for one or both role/s.
Examples of Key Accountabilities:
Liaise with the Team Coordinator on all aspects of the camp/competition plan in the build up to an event.
Attend the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meeting in advance and during the camp/competition sharing accurate appropriate and concise information.
Conduct site reconnaissance as required feeding back to the Team Coordinator.
Deploy the detailed camp/competition management plan.
Lead the operational communications to players and team staff considering all present impairment groups regarding delivery.
Work closely with and maintain effective communication with the head coach and medical team.
Develop effective and professional relationships with players and team staff.
Provide off pitch player support, checking in regularly and identifying issues early.
Oversee the on camp/competition management of travel, accommodation, transport and meals on site and function as key point of contact with TD/LOC/IFs as appropriate.
Provide on camp administrative support to the technical team as required.
Submit team sheets as directed by the head coach.
Manage behaviours and issues confidently and give direct feedback without blame.
Troubleshoot, keep accurate reports/records, and escalate appropriately.
Report any safeguarding issues appropriately.
Ensure team kit and equipment is in situ.
Ensure any additional activity, such as pre agreed/arranged media/commercial requests, run smoothly and do not affect player performance.
Provide accurate post camp/competition reporting to the Programme Officer.
Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.
What Will You Need?
Essential for the role:
5 GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent qualification.
Experience in sports Team Management.
Experience of working in a sports environment.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate working with and supporting numerous internal and external stakeholders.
Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
Full clean driving licence
Beneficial to have:
Knowledge of Disability or Para Football.
Team management experience of Disability or Para Football teams.
Experience of working within elite Para Sport environments/teams.
Basic Project Management skills.
