About the job
The Football Association have an exciting opportunity for a Para Football Programme Officer to join our Para Division. You will help support the Para Football Performance Programme Manager in the delivery of the operational requirements of the para football programme, including the management of programme operational processes and systems.

About The Team

Our FA Technical teams support all aspects of Men's and Women's elite performance – including para football, the elite format of disability football that runs parallel to the mainstream game – so we can help England teams to win tournaments.

Our teams manage everything from identifying talent to the development and coaching of multi-disciplinary teams throughout the age groups, up to our Senior England teams. To deliver on our goal we have invested heavily in developing a team of exceptional people capable of creating winning England teams at our world-class training facilities at our National Football Centre, St. George's Park.

What will you be doing?

Ensure the effective implementation and ongoing management of the following processes & events:
Programme Selection coordination and player grant allocation
Programme communication
Senior player induction
Programme Conference co-ordination
Programme Calendar co-ordination
IDP support
Responsibility for the recruitment, training, development, and contracting of the casual Team Manager's and Tournament Directors.
Para Football camps and competitions budget management & reporting.
Team Manager (TM) Responsibility for Multi-Squad and Individual Team Camps & Competitions as required.
Project Management of para programme activity, including communication tools and operational systems development.
Performance Lifestyle Co-ordination.
Working with the FA Safeguarding team, ensure appropriate safeguarding processes are in place and act as safeguarding point of contact for Para Football.
Player Media & Commercial Activity coordination and tracking.
Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

What are we looking for?

Essential for the role:
5 GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent qualification.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple tasks/events and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience of working in an elite sports environment, including events or team management.
Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Knowledge and understanding of para or disability sport.
Excellent planning and project management skills.
Budget management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office including Excel.

Beneficial to have:
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of elite athlete performance lifestyle.
Experience within elite Para Sports environments/teams.
Line management experience.
Experience of developing and implementing operational processes and procedures.

Our Organisation

We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
