We work as a team, challenge the status quo, and strive to make everyone feel welcome.  United Soccer League is the proud recipient of Front Office Sports' 2021 & 2022 Best Employers in Sports and Tampa Bay Business Journal's Coolest Office Spaces. Position PurposeThe Operations & Compliance Coordinator in the Pre-Professional Department will oversee and sustain league day-to-day operations and maintain strong relationships with member clubs.  Additionally, this position will lead the execution of a successful USL W League and USL League Two seasons in partnership with team members. This position will work closely with USL leadership as well as work cross functionally with additional departments across all of USL HQ. Duties and ResponsibilitiesSpecific duties include, but are not limited to:As an Operations & Compliance Coordinator – USL Pre-Professional Properties, your primary duties shall be as follows:Oversee the competition management workflow process for USL League Two, USL W League, USL Academy seasonsAssist in club education of the competition management software platform as well as league proceduresAct as point of contact for league competition related items with the league membersProvide customer service to clubs (troubleshoot registration, etc.) USL Pre-Professional Competitions & Operations: Assist with the execution of short & long-term operational needs for competitions & special events, including but not limited to the following:Coordinate with referees, athletic trainers, hotel providers, vendors, sponsors, partners, and other outside contractorsOrganize & maintain a detailed planning calendar, involving internal & external partners as neededSecure & maintain necessary equipment & signageAssist with scheduling construction & updating processesAssist with necessary communications to participating clubs/teamsAssist with tracking expenses & manage P&L statementsUSL Pre-Professional Membership Services: Serve as an additional point of contact when needed within USL League Office for USL Pre-Professional members, ensuring the following:Provide clubs assistance with administrative & operational tasks tied to participationWork with internal team members and departments to deliver league-wide communications, ensuring all members are aware of key processes, updates, and requirementsBuild rapport & strengthen relationships with key stakeholders at pre-professional clubsOther duties/responsibilities as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Business, or related field and/or equivalent professional work experience. 1+ years of experience working with the administration and maintenance of sports programs.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are required.Experience in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point is necessary.Background in sport or event management, specifically soccer, is highly preferred.Candidate must be creative and able to think outside the box.Fluency in Spanish is a plus.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members, executives, member clubs, and external partners.Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must.Ability to work as business needs require which may include long days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel if / when necessary.  Must have U.S. work authorization. We have great Perks - Comprehensive Benefits Package • Medical, Dental, Vision & Pet Insurance • Health HSA and FSA • 401k w/ up to 6% match • Corporate Discounts • Paid Vacation, Holiday & Sick Days • Business Casual Dress • Casual Dress Fridays • And More! We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
