WHAT IS OUR GOAL?
TheALL IN–OFC WomenFootballstrategyaims to increase the development, growth, sustainability, and professionalisation of the game, leading to greater performances on the world stage. Providing direction, purpose, and guidelines for womenfootball in Oceania, this strategy will also assist with the creation of an inclusive footballing culture, which inspires and empowers all girls and women across all sectors.
Thisisanexcitingopportunityfor aWomenFootball Consultantto support the development and implementation of grassroots and youth programmes in football, futsal and beach soccer, in alignment with theALL IN: OFC WomenFootball Strategy.
The role is a Fixed Term Contract working between 24-32hrs/week until August 2023. We are open to applications from across the Pacific region with flexible remote working options.
The main focus is on the delivery of thePARTICIPATIONpillar – which aims to break down the barriers and increase accessibility for girls and women in football, to ensure girls and women are meaningfully engaged in all aspects of football.
You will be working in collaboration with:
Football Development Department for the development of womenfootball, futsal and beach soccer.
Social Responsibility Department to ensure appropriate messaging and themes are included in development programmes.
Education & High-Performance Department for the delivery of formal and informal education courses and workshops.
Relevant internal and external stakeholders aiming at providing equal opportunities.
Main Duties (include but are not limited to):
Conduct monthly WomenDevelopment Officer progress and support calls, with regular weekly support as required.
Facilitate monitoring and reporting with WomenDevelopment Officeron operational plan activity, including Development Centres and Centres of Excellence.
Build a database of relevant statistics on girls’ and womenfootball to continuously track and monitor the progress of womenfootball in each Member Association.
Support the FIFA WWC Pacific Legacy Programme and relevant initiatives.
Support (or lead) Female Only coach education for football, futsal and beach soccer.
Encourage and promote the values of OFC and to comply with the required standards of conduct and so promote the Confederation within the community by acting with integrity and honesty.
Ensure that all work is completed on a priority basis with a high degree of quality and professionalism.
Be proactive in all aspects of the role, by thinking and planning, to provide the best possible service.
Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum of three years’ experience and strong knowledge in womenfootball.
Tertiary qualifications to the equivalent of university level and above in a relevant subject.
OFC Licence, or Confederation equivalent, is preferred.
Ability to empower others to achieve goals consistently over time.
Willingness to tailor support to meet the cultural and societal norms of a country.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Professional, positive, flexible, and diplomatic response to problem solving.
Remuneration will be dependent on and reflective of experience.
