Role description
The Head Coach is a key leadership figure within the club and must demonstrate a strong commitment to ‘Redlands Key Principles'.
Objective:
The First Team Head Coach is responsible for managing team selection, tactics, training and matches.
Core Responsibilities:
Drive standards and culture
Prepare and plan for preseason, fixtures, conditioning program, appointment of high-performance staff.
Recruitment of players to the First Team
Manage player budget
Oversee the selection of first team for fixtures
Manage sport science and medical departments
Liaise with Head of Football Operations to identity areas for coaching and player development
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Qualities:
AFC / UEFA ‘A’ License (E)
Proven Track record of coaching senior teams (E)
Demonstrated successful results in first team football
Maintain clear lines of communication with Technical Director
Proven ability to work in a dynamic and challenging elite football environment.
Key Relationships:
Technical Director, Assistant Coaches, U23 Coach, Goalkeeper Coach.
Club President & Committee
Time Commitment:
2 sessions per week: Pre-season from November – February.
2-3 training sessions per week in Season (depending on season schedule): Feb-Sep
