Reports To: Manager, Nitros Development Program
Level: Technical Staff (Full-Time 40 hours per week)
Providing children with the correct environment is instrumental in allowing them to fall in love
with the game of soccer. Ensuring that these programs are stage appropriate means we must
consider the development of the players over all four corners - Technical/tac&cal, Physical,
Psychological, and Social-emo&onal.
North Toronto Soccer is commiGed to ensuring that every child is afforded the opportunity to
be part of a program that considers the holis&c development of each individual.
The Head Coach, Nitros Development Program is responsible for leading Age Groups within the
Clubs U8 - U10 Grassroots Program. This individual will deliver inclusive, stage appropriate
training programs in line with North Toronto Soccer’s philosophy and Technical Opera&ons Plan.
The posi&on will also assist the Manager, NDP in opera&onal planning and other organiza&onal
This posi&on will typically consist of twenty (20) hours of on-field work and twenty (20) hours of
management work per week. Due to the nature of the work there will be a balance between
working remotely and working from the Club office. It is expected that a predictable work
schedule is maintained to contribute to the professionalism of North Toronto Soccer.
Evening and weekend work is expected with one day off per week.
The posi&on includes paid vaca&on days to be taken at a &me which is mutually agreed upon
between the Club and the employee. Vaca&on cannot be taken during the season.
Primary DuHes and ResponsibiliHes:
• Lead Age Groups within the Club’s NDP (U8 - U10) in line with North Toronto Soccer’s
philosophy and Technical Plan
Plan and execute all training sessions in line with North Toronto Soccer’s training methodology
and age group objec&ves
Support the Manager, NDP with the development and implementa&on of parent engagement
strategies to improve awareness of the Club’s Grassroots Programs and Player Pathway
Ensure accurate records are maintained to track the development of players
Work with the Club’s Manager, NDP and the Club Administrator to ensure effec&ve
communica&on exists between the Club and the families registered to our NDP Program
Provide coaching support for the NT Summer Camp or the NT Summer Academy
AGend pre-season fes&vals/events each year - at the discre&on of Manager, NDP
Ensure regular communica&on exists with the Manager, Recrea&onal Programs to ensure all
players within the Recrea&onal Program is provided with opportuni&es to access the NDP

Experience working in youth soccer at the Grassroots stages (U8-U12)
• Experience working with young children
• Experience working as part of a team to implement curricula
• Experience crea&ng technical resources
• C License - minimum requirement
Children’s License - Preferred

• Ability to work as part of a team
The talent and ability to influence and relate to others through strong presenta&on and
Knowledge of Canada Soccer’s LTPD model
Demonstrated commitment to the holis&c development of youth players
Strong verbal & wriGen communica&on skills
