About the opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to join our NCS team within Everton in the Community.
As a NCS Programme Support Worker you will work closely with the NCS Manager and NCS Coordinator in the delivery of the programme across the North West. You will be responsible for supporting the recruitment of our young people from a diverse range of backgrounds and enable them to engage, participate and develop within the core programme.
You will support our young people on a 3 or 4-week programme which involves two residentials which will assist and encourage our young people to develop social action projects, personal development and soft skills
Other key responsibilities within this role include:
Engaging and building positive relationships with young people and their parent / carers to provide effective support on a one-to-one or group basis to achieve NCS outcome targets.
Ensuring programme content is relevant to the local community and builds on existing relationships with partner individuals and organisations in order to provide young people with a quality NCS experience, ensuring they learn community and citizenship values within their local environment.
Record daily activity across delivery of the local NCS programme, including recruitment information, participant contact and outcomes during the programme, and ensure these are fully up to date in time for regular reports to the wider NCS national team and the NCS Trust.
Devise and deliver residential weeks to ensure that all NCS objectives are achieved and provide participants with a challenging experience that fuels personal and social development.
Who we are looking for: Ideally, you will have knowledge of the NCS programme and relevant youth policies/youth agendas.
The successful candidates will be a dynamic, forward-thinking individual who has the welfare and positive experience of the people they will be working with at the forefront of their minds.
