1. The Department
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join the First Team Support Department at Aston Villa Football Club. This role will play a vital part within the First Team Support Department who aim to provide a best in class support service to players and staff to ensure they are able to perform to an elite standard.
2. The Role
The role will primarily involve assisting the Head of Football Administration and the Club Doctor with general administrative duties. On the medical administration side, you will be responsible for co-ordinating, scheduling and processing invoices related to Matchday Paramedics, Medical Liaison Officers, Osteopath, Podiatry and other services. You will maintain and upkeep filing and administrative systems to ensure files are easily accessible, accurate and secure. You may also be asked to conduct administrative projects, for example concussion and pharmacy audits. You will also provide general administrative support as and when required including raising Purchase Order Numbers, arranging room bookings and credit card reconciliation.

3. The Person
The successful candidate will need to have demonstrable experience of working within a previous similar role using Microsoft Office programmes, in particular Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. You must be able to communicate concisely, assertively and effectively with various professional disciplines, at all levels of the Club, with the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality. You will need to be organised, be able to address practical issues and work effectively under your own initiative.
Previous experience of working within a similar role within an elite sporting environment would be desirable. Due to the location of Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, it would be ideal for you to hold a current, clean driving licence and have use of your own vehicle.
