PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Marketing Manager is responsible for the successful execution of the marketing strategy which includes consumer-facing communication, website, media campaigns, and fan experience at Gotham FC games. The primary objectives of the Marketing Manager are to support the growth of the Gotham FC fanbase and increase the Club’s brand awareness in the New Jersey and New York markets through the successful execution of the annual marketing strategy. All duties are performed in accordance with departmental and Gotham FC policies, practices, and procedures as well as within the framework and intent of the Mission Statement. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing Management and Execution
Drive the successful execution of marketing creative for Gotham FC games and hosted events including branding, sales collateral, website, email marketing, sponsor signage, digital, and social media assets
Act as liaison between external partners and internal creative teams to request, review and deliver brand-appropriate creative for partner marketing assets – print and digital.
Collaborate with other departments to facilitate brand marketing support requests for upcoming promotions and initiatives
Execute the annual media plan established by the Director, Marketing working with media partners to traffic all creative assets, including print, radio, TV, and digital, and oversee the advertising campaigns effectiveness
Support development and execution of theme nights and 360 marketing platforms to drive brand awareness and single-game ticket sales.
Work with social manager to develop campaigns to support sales initiatives, merchandise, and other marketing efforts on social platforms.
Assign creative jobs to creators based on workload, skillset and director’s input to ensure all projects are completed in a timely manner
Community Management and Programming
Conceptualize and execute an annual calendar of tentpole events and initiatives that grow the fanbase by authentically connecting with the diverse soccer community in the tri-state area
Coordinate the activities, logistics, set-up, execution and recaps of marquee/cornerstone marketing events; oversee the execution of entire promotional calendar by working closely with the marketing department.
Develop meaningful relationships with emerging partners and culture influencers to drive brand affinity and attendance at Gotham FC games
Provide overall department administrative support including processing invoices and payments, internal creative and media requests, event photo organization, player appearance tracking, and filing waivers
Gameday and Fan Experience Serve as liaison for marketing initiatives for each home game to RedBullArena including scripts, LED boards, and other marketing elements
Responsible for partnering with sponsorship to activate and deliver on experiential assets for sponsors; serving as a key partner in the development and valuation of marketing assets.
Own the game day experience for key audiences by managing the end-to-end fan journey from arrival at the arena, in-game programming, and post-game fan experiences.
Manage and drive the execution of on-field activities pregame, in-game, and post-game.
Oversee Gotham FC Community Partner Ticket Program, including donations, outreach, fulfillment and match day support for all home matches (e.g. research community organizations for ticket distribution, ensure consistently high ticket redemption rates, troubleshoot any match day issues, etc.)
Book talent for game-related events such as National Anthem performers or talent act/entertainers
Manage the inventory and ordering process of the department’s promotional items and gifting

Possess and demonstrates an extremely strong proficiency in communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable and experienced with public speaking and group presentations

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays and the capability to travel as required
