JOB SUMMARYThe D.C. United Communications and Marketing Department are looking for a talented and enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate student aspiring to enter the sports marketing industry to join us as the Marketing Intern for Fall 2023. This Internship will allow you to work on meaningful projects that are essential parts of our business functions, collaborate with multiple department teams, and learn essential marketing practices for your professional growth to gain meaningful career experience.This is an unpaid internship, and you must be eligible to receive college credit for the internship.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAid in digital marketing campaign production.Assist in the preparation and execution of grassroots initiatives along with D.C. United Brand Ambassadors.Analyze campaign performance and make recommendations accordingly.Research best practices and compile marketing examples.Assist the Marketing department during promotions, events, and matchday marketing events.Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTSEligible to receive college credit for the internship.Dedicate a maximum of 25 hours a week to the internship from September 2023 to December 2023.Experience in sports is a plus.Work may require matchday, weekend, and/or evening work.You must provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination prior to start date.COMPETENCIES (KSAs)Coachable, hardworking, multi-tasking, and positive attitude.Effective oral and written communication.Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Ability to succeed in team-oriented and independent project environments.Possess leadership qualities in order to manage project efficiency and timeliness.D.C.
