The Position:
The Football Association of Ireland is seeking a Marketing Executive to drive the marketing activities of the League of Ireland.
The role is primarily based in the FAI Headquarters on the National Sports Campus and the candidate will work within the Marketing Department reporting directly to the Head of Marketing
This role will require regular evening and weekend assignments. The candidate will also be expected to travel and represent the Association in a professional manner and live the FAI values at all times.

The Purpose:
The Marketing and Communications Team are responsible for promoting the FAI strategic objectives and creating positive engagement of FAI football activities with stakeholders.
The Marketing Executive will be specifically responsible for devising, managing, and implementing marketing strategies that meet the Leagues key objectives. Namely, promoting the League, assisting in generating increased commercial value (including LOITV and Sponsorship) and building a deeper understanding of the LOI fanbase.
The successful candidate will work closely with the League Department and other internal departments ensuring brand, and marketing communications are in line with FAI Marketing strategy and are linked with the League overall Strategy. They will report directly to the Head of Marketing but will be a close Business Partner to the League Department.

The main objectives of this role:

Executing the League marketing strategy, campaigns, events and launches on time and within Budget
Promotion and marketing support of LOITV OTT to meet its financial and subscriber targets
Implementation and development of new League brand through dedicated marketing activities and providing structure.
Developing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide regular reports and perspectives on progress to the League Director, FAI Senior Management and National Leagues Committee.
Marketing point of contact for all League of Ireland Clubs around the country in relation to marketing project initiative(s), sharing knowledge and experience.
Supporting the League Clubs to achieve their marketing strategies.
Strong external stakeholder management with League Clubs and their marketing contacts. Internal stakeholder management and coordination with the League and Marketing Communications departments.
Work with the FAI Commercial Department to ensure Sponsor activations complement the League marketing strategy and are supported by the clubs (don’t conflict with their own initiatives).
Supporting the Head of Marketing in any additional areas as required from time to time.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the League Department in promotion of the League and delivery against the League key objectives
Responsible for the delivery and implementation of the overall marketing plan for League including (for example), launches, promotional events, market research, ticket promotions and digital marketing campaigns, that meet the League Departments key objectives
The promotion of LOITV (direct to consumer OTT service) to meet its audience and revenue targets.
The main point of contact for League Club marketing personnel. This includes organising presenting at regular League marketing meetings, creation delivery of League creative assets, and assisting them in meeting their individual market strategies.
Managing digital activities in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Departmentand LeagueDepartments across all major social media platforms including website management.



Job requirements

Education

Third Level Degree preferred in Marketing, Business, Sports Management or equivalent.
A recognised Project Management qualification an advantage.

Experience

3-5 year professional experience of working in a similar position in marketing preferably in a sports environment.
2-3 year people management experience, an advantage.
Experience in dealing with Senior Management, Director to CEO level.
Proven track record of delivering high profile, innovative marketing campaigns that have delivered results and achieved business objectives.
Experience in Marketing/Brand/PR and promotion of events.
Experience with digital marketing/solid analytics and analysis.
Experience in developing, managing and executing integrated marketing strategies and tactical plans.
Experience in project management and delivery of KPIs.

Strong in strategy design, development, and delivery.
Solid understanding of Club and League Structures at a National Level.
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Creative, innovative, proactive, and pragmatic.
Competent Intermediate to Advanced Level with Microsoft Office Package in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience of Social Media Tools like Business Manager, Analytics, Twitter Ads would be an advantage.
Strong presentation skills including creation and delivery of compelling propositions
