Job purpose

To work as part of a small Marketing and design team driving engagement with a variety of B2B & B2C customers throughout the Stadium MK group of companies; MK Dons Football Club, DoubleTree by Hilton, Marshall Arena, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill and MK Dons Sport & Education Trust. Also assisting in the creation and delivery of the matchday experience at all MK Dons Home League games.

Job Description

Main Objectives

• Manage the group’s websites, using a range of CMS systems

• Ensure website content is optimized both technically and creatively

• Manage the group’s social media accounts

• Manage and help grow the groups individual databases

• Plan and manage regular email communications to a variety of customers – i.e. Football Fans, Stadium MK customers, Conference & Event Organisers and Leisure Guests

• Plan and manage digital display advertising

• Manage the group’s Google My Business pages

• Create engaging content and copywriting for marketing collateral

• Organise and coordinate the matchday experience for each of our MK Dons home league games

• Enhance the ‘off the pitch’ matchday experience for MK Dons fans and potential fans

Summary of Duties

• Manage and oversee all database marketing activity for Stadium MK. Ensuring that all opportunities are exploited and that GDPR legislation is adhered to

• Create relevant, personalized, engaging email marketing content for Stadium MK group of companies, galvanising content across different business streams

• Reporting on the success of each e-shot, using different methods in a bid to improve open and click though rates

• Ensure all web content is updated regularly and easily searchable, implementing SEO best practices where applicable

• Reporting on Stadium MK websites - bounce rates, speed, links and acquisition, ensuring that improvement plans are developed where necessary

• Post engaging and relevant content across our social media accounts; Stadium MK, Marshall Arena, DoubleTree by Hilton, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse and MK Dons SET.

• Plan, execute and manage effective display advertising campaigns on our MK Dons website

• Managing the content creation and relationship with Global platforms and third-party websites ensuring that Stadium MK is presented in the best possible way

• Review new technologies, keeping the Company informed of Digital Marketing developments

• Plan, execute and oversee matchday activities for supporters at all MK Dons League home games

• Enhance the matchday experience for supporters, including our Young Dons

• Create content for our MK Dons matchday programme, both print and digital

• Working on promotional events and in-house special events as required across all business's

• Support the Marketing Manager in ensuring copy is proofread and meets the correct tone of voice for each of the Stadium MK businesses

• Working with the Graphic design team to create engaging marketing collateral and videos

• Build and send feedback surveys and repot on results

• Day to day marketing tasks as required

Person Specification

Essential skills and qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 months Marketing work experience including: Content management systems Google Analytics Email marketing and associated data and reporting Creating content to drive revenue and engagement

• Ability to work match and event days, this will include weekend and evening work

• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

• Ability to self-manage in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

• Meticulous with detail

• Strategic mindset with the ability to pinpoint key audiences

• Able to advise and make decisions

• Eligible for work in the UK


• Degree in Marketing/ Sports Marketing or Event Management or evidence of experience in a similar role

• An understanding of Marketing Automation

• MailChimp experience

• Hootsuite experience

• Adobe Photoshop and InDesign experience
