Chicago Fire FC is seeking an energetic, agile, customer-centric, data-driven and detail-oriented Manager, Grassroots Community Marketing to support all of the Club’s efforts in this space.  This role is a support-based role that lies within the Marketing team. In this position, the candidate will collaborate primarily with the ticket sales, community, marketing and operations teams to build and manage a grassroots and community marketing strategy and calendar focused on boosting fan engagement and maximizing club revenue streams. Additionally, this role will severe as the key marketing point of contact providing support for the Club’s Community department inclusive of Fire Pitch, youth soccer and proprietary community programming initiatives. The candidate must be a highly-motivated individual contributor with cross-functional experience, who can work well with others collaborating in a team environment. Someone with excellent organization and planning skills and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.  Previous team experience preferred but not required. Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, planning and budget management of annual grassroots and community marketing plan:
Building a grassroots and community engagement event plan focused on reaching youth and adult soccer communities 
Build the Club’s brand position throughout all community efforts (CFRS, CFYSC, Fire Foundation etc.) and help drive program awareness and participation
In partnership with community and ticketing sales team, identify new events and develop recommendation for club pursuit
Leverage fan insights, customer segmentation and data strategy to support activation plans
Determine club presentation, sales materials and collateral needed for events
Partner with operations team to align on activation plans
Work closely with internal teams to ensure each event meets the overall goals of the Club
Collaborate with Marketing Manager Senior Manager of Paid Media to support best-in-class and innovative marketing support
Engage with Email team to support delivery of marketing plan assets
Collaborate with content and design team to ensure delivery of all creative assets
Work with ticket sales team to manage data collection at events
Partner with Business Intelligence team to ensure alignment and integration across data, analytics, and reporting
Responsible for managing branding and marketing assets at Fire Pitch as well as collaborating with Fire Pitch GM on events
Attend and work grassroots events, always serving as a Champion for the Fire brand
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years of relevant experience in a community or grassroots marketing role
Bachelor’s in marketing, sports management or related field
Ability to develop and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Inherent team spirit with the ability to build partnerships and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Self-motivated and self-starter
Strong relationship-building skills
Demonstrated history of creative thinking, change implementation, and problem solving
Proven ability to think strategically and creatively while maintaining attention to detail
Desire to create an inclusive and cooperative work environment
Passion for the Chicago Fire FC, MLS, and soccer as a whole
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in word, excel and PowerPoint
