Organizational Overview:

Lexington Sporting Club is a U.S. Soccer professional soccer club, competing in USL League One (U.S. Soccer Third Division Men’s Professional Soccer League). Launching its inaugural professional season in 2023, the professional team is the pinnacle of the soccer eco-system in Lexington and features more than 1,400 players within its youth and academy systems, a pre-professional women’s team beginning in 2023 in the USL W League and is in the process of building the club’s formal stadium, performance center and training fields.

Position Summary:

Lexington Sporting Club is seeking an enthusiastic individual with meticulous attention to detail that will be responsible managing soccer and professional team related business operations while collaborating across internal departments and external parties to ensure efficient and seamless operations.

Assist in the development and management of the club’s annual operating budget, including review and the development of regular reports to leadership
Collaborate with the leadership team responsible for the planning, creation, and negotiation of the club’s professional competition calendar including pre-season matches, exhibitions, and league schedule.
Develop and manage player services including; housing, travel, meals, per diem and other soccer team related duties as assigned
Coordinator needs of home and visiting teams, and referees on match day; including hotel requirements, team meal requirements and other miscellaneous match day soccer related operations
Manage professional team player registration and eligibility process with USL, U.S. Soccer, and FIFA
Coordinate team training needs, including equipment acquisition, planning and facility operations
Provide administrative support to the Lexington sporting department
Other duties may be assigned


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working in a professional team environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
3+ years of event planning/management & operations experience
3+ years experience in a business environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
Self-starter with the mentality to self-identify solutions
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, problem solve and complete all tasks on time
Ability to lift 50lbs
Possess a clean driving record in order to operate company vehicles
Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Previous professional soccer experience a plus
