Football Australia is the national governing body for football in Australia and a member of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the international governing body for football. It governs all national teams, the A-Leagues (in Football Australia’s capacity as the regulatory body), Australia Cup, National Premier Leagues and leads state, community, and grassroots football.

Reporting into the Head of Women's Football, Women's World Cup Legacy & Inclusion, this Sydney-based, 12 month, part time (4 days a week) role will be responsible for executing on Football Australia’s Diversity and Inclusion action plan, operationalising all aspects across the business. The role will deliver on our commitment to providing staff, members and participants with best practice policies and engagement initiatives to ensure that everyone in football experiences a sense of belonging. Working in collaboration with stakeholders internally and externally, the role will promote relevant education and training to enhance football’s capacity to acknowledge, respect and embrace diversity across the game.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Project manage Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, through research and design phase to the communications, stakeholder management, implementation, feedback, and evaluation
Build influential relations, foster collaborations, and lead engagement across external stakeholders, community organisations and other external parties to enhance existing and future policy, engagement practices and programs
Contribute to learning and organisational development initiatives to foster an open and inclusive environment in which to work and play football
Work in partnership within sport industry, government, and the wider football community to identify joint opportunities to address diversity matters
Chair internal committees to develop and implement the Inclusion and Diversity plan incorporating key strategies to address all aspects of diversity, inclusion and equality

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Strong track record in delivering Diversity & Inclusion action plans
Proven ability to work autonomously, manage project timelines and contribute to continual and improved productivity, efficiencies, and improvements
Experience in supporting the delivery of key events including planning, assisting with communications and stakeholder engagement
Demonstrated project management, high level organisational, prioritisation and attention to detail
Experience in driving social change within an organisation and/or community
Experience in using data to inform Diversity & Inclusion action plans and strategies
