Overview



Major League Soccer is the top-flight men professional soccer league in the USA and Canada. We aspire to be one of the top leagues in the world, as defined by our quality of play, the passion of our fans, the relevance of our clubs and the value of our enterprise. In 2023, the league will be comprised of 29 clubs, with ongoing plans to expand to 30 clubs, will play the new and annual Leagues Cup tournament, and launched its worldwide streaming and marketing partnership with Apple.

Major League Soccer historic Apple partnership allows fans to stream every MLS match through the Apple TV app worldwide. MLS Season Pass service features MLS NEXT, MLS NEXT Pro, and Leagues Cup matches, along with thousands of video clips and features.

As a Manager, Content Operations, you will be responsible for helping to manage video on demand (VOD) elements of MLS Season Pass and other content partners, working within the Technical Broadcast Operations group at MLS and with MLS clubs to manage all aspects of video delivery to MLS Season Pass and other content partners.



Responsibilities




Operate the content inventory and delivery process for MLS Season Pass VOD content and other content partners.
Ensure on-time delivery of league video to MLS Season Pass by coordinating with League staff.
Partner with staff at MLS clubs to ensure on-time delivery of club video to MLS Season Pass and other club partners.
Operate and troubleshoot issues with delivery of video via Apple Transporter system.
Operate and troubleshoot issues with metadata in Apple Sequence system.
Assist with matchday operations on select midweek evenings and weekends.
Work with MLS designers to deliver keyframe images for videos published on MLS Season Pass.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.




Qualifications




Bachelor Degree
5+ years of experience in content management or video management and production.


Required Skills

Experience using a video asset management system
Ability to write and edit titles and descriptions in English and Spanish
Ability to review and edit closed captions in English and Spanish
High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays


Desired Skills

Previous experience with Apple Transporter and Sequence platforms
Knowledge of the sport of soccer


Total Rewards
Starting Base Salary: $75,000 – $85,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
