Title:   Maintenance Officer  
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Various incl. Vitality Stadium, Academy Sites
Permanent position, 35 hours, plus matchdays

Job purpose
To carry out general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, which will include plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling and other building systems. This role will be responsible for carrying out maintenance across all club sites.
Main Duties
·      Inspect and be able to identify faults, carry out preventative and planned maintenance
·      Be able to problem solve and come up with solutions to determine necessary repairs.
·      Follow plans and repair work using drawings or equipment manual as needed including the use of checklists
·      Performs general repairs that do not require a specialised technician. Examples may include repairing walls, painting, repairing doors and other building fixtures.
·      Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
·      Clean/ decorate and assist with upkeep of the facilities.
·      Report to maintenance manager any supplies required, and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
·      Perform other related duties as assigned.
·      To work matchdays covering any maintenance that should arise during games, i.e., blocked toilets, water leaks (plumbing), general maintenance assistance.
·      As a member of staff to ensure in all matters, you follow and actively promote the club’s mental health policies and practices to ensure an open, non-judgmental and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.
·      As a member of staff to ensure that you to adhere to the club’s safeguarding policies and procedures and are committed to our safeguarding values, creating a safe and positive environment for all those who interact with the club.

·      As a member of staff to ensure in all matters you follow and actively promote the club’s equality policies and practices to ensure a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.
Key Competencies
·         Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
·         Have a good attention to detail
·         Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
·         Excellent organisational and time management skills.
·         Worked as part of a team alongside other trades/professionals to complete tasks/projects
·         Good communication
·         Be proactive
·         Work on own initiative as well as part of a team
·         Be able to work safely, understand Health and Safety requirements and Safe systems of work.
·         Other relevant competency within building industry,
·         Related experience preferred.
·         On-the-job training offered i.e., PAT, Legionella, Use of MEWPS and PASMA
Applicants should note this role may involve prolonged periods of standing, walking, working on steps and in small or awkward spaces. Applicants should also be aware that a DBS check will be applied to the holder of this position.
