The Logistics Manager New Zealand role ensures the most favourable conditions for the successful establishment and implementation of the Logistics project within the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023™. Conceptualisation and central planning of the Logistics project; define deliverables, budget and milestones as part of the Master Project Management Plan.JobdutiesThe Logistics Manager New Zealand will be responsible for:

The management, coordination and leadership of the Event Logistics team and sub-projects, involving:


Customs freight forwarding, including ensuring government guarantees are implemented and met
Satellite warehousing, including asset tracking not only within the warehouse but across all venues in which there are assets
Material planning, including the gathering of FFE requirements from FAs, working with Procurement in sourcing these requirements and delivery
Domestic Distribution
Movements of PMA luggage and equipment to / from hotels, airports, stadiums and training site.
Managing the entry to stadiums of delivery and collection vehicles during the tournament period
Venue Logistics, including determining the space requirements of Logistics and the other FAs and finding workable solutions for providing this space, and the management of venue operations including access of delivery and collection vehicles
Where / if required IT systems; Master Delivery Schedule (MDS), Material Planning tool, Venue Delivery Portal (VDP) and Logistics Customer Relationship Management tool (LCRM)
Management of golf carts and, if part of the tournament, electric scooters
Dissolution, including devising and implementing a dissolution plan


Evaluation of the local logistics market and sourcing of a logistics service provider (LSP) to provide warehousing, trucking and people resources to crew the warehouse and venues
Manage the LSP and ensure all project milestones, deadlines and KPIs are met
Provide the Logistics Concept of Operations and other project integration management documentation such as FAOPS and SOPs as required
Attend workshops, logistics activities, meets and events in which an Event Logistics presence is required
Management of the Event Logistics budget
Liaison and be the formal point of contact between the LFS and FIFA. Understand FIFA requirements for Event Logistics
Creation and management of the Event Logistics project plan, management (including mitigation) and communication of risks and issues
Recruitment of the rest of the Event Logistics team and providing leadership to deliver best-in-class tournament logistics through this team
Attend meetings in which Event Logistics needs representation
Provide timelines and accurate reporting to senior management
Lead the dissolution process and complete the closure of the physical operation
Complete the final reconciliation/transfer of knowledge post-tournaments and events
Work with Security to determine the access control requirements to ensure delivery and collection vehicles can enter the stadiums during the tournament period.
