To provide a platform for managing the transition of young players through the different pathways up to the professional development phase and onwards into the professional game, consistent with the Academy vision and philosophy. To ensure players’ potential development is maximised.
Manage the coaching staff working within the Academy, age groups U12 – U16 to include coaching provision, sports science staff, the games program and associated welfare issues.
Hold multi-disciplinary staff meetings on a regular basis to discuss player progress
Comply with all EFL licensing requirements for Category 3 Academies; liaise with EFL Regional Monitors and audit company (PGAAC) representatives.
Provide and review written and verbal reports for each registered player in line with Academy guidelines.
Control the trial process for new entrants to the program within the phase.
Be a part of the registration and decision-making processes for the 12-16’s
Assist continuous professional development for staff.
Ensure all PMA and associated activities are kept up to date
Attend regional EFL meetings as required
Ensure own CPD/development is up to date
Complete any other tasks as requested by the Academy Manager
Module 4 Youth Award, UEFA A Licence
