ROLE DESCRIPTION

Objectives

To be responsible for the Lead coaching, programming, and training coaches in the coach pathway and player pathway.
To lead on and deliver all organisational policies and objectives agreed
To develop new relationships across the soccer communities at the grass roots level
To be responsible for delivering all aspects of player development and associated income generation for the growth of the business as agreed


Specific responsibilities


To lead the development of new strategic and diverse development initiatives, that respond to changing environments, in line with other roles within the business.
To lead on the delivery of youth coaching sessions that will set the high quality standards of coaching sessions at America’s Got Soccer.
To manage facility and coach scheduling, staff recruitment and training, equipment allocation, all relative to the business needs.
To ensure that a coordinated organisational work schedule for coaches is developed and delivered against the objectives and priorities agreed.
To set goals for, effectively manage, and motivate a staff team of up to 15 people.
To be responsible for all financial and corporate governance, working with the executive team and respective employees.
To maintain good relationships with all partners within the organisation.
To help develop the brand of America’s Got Soccer through internal marketing and publicity and most importantly through delivering high quality coaching.
To be a public representative of the organisation through public speaking and as a media spokesperson as appropriate.
To provide vision and a strategic focus for America’s Got Soccer's player pathway through links to local organisations, schools and youth programs.
To manage and oversee the review, monitoring and evaluation processes.

Note: The work of the Lead Coach & Player Program Manager will require evening and weekend working, travel around the state and on occasions out of the country.
It is expected that the Manager will be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.




Requirements:
Ideal Experience:
- Experience working with children ages 4 – 12 years is required
- Experience with other types of young child organizations (SportBall, City Camps, etc.) or soccer environments (Youth Soccer Clubs, Little Kickers, Recreational Leagues, etc.)
- Coaching certification (Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, UEFA ‘C’ etc.) is an asset
