Position Summary:
The Assistant Athletic Trainer (ATC) will take an active role in providing on-site athlete care, sport event coverage, and record-keeping of the athletic training program and will assist the sports medicine staff in the running of their department and the daily operation of their jobs. Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the team needs including working game nights. 
Essential Duties:
Assist the head and assistant ATC with pre training and pre game set up of training room and fields. This involves preparation of hydration stations on the field, preparation of cold/hot tubs, and athletic treatments and rehabilitation to prepare players for activity for the day.
Assist with the post training and post-game cleanup of water coolers and medical equipment 
Assist the head and assistant Athletic Trainer with treatments and rehab of athletes pre- and post-practice 
Ensure that the athletes are hydrated during training sessions by preparing water bottles and checking in with athletes during appropriate breaks in training sessions
Maintain a clean, neat, and organized training room 
Assist with the LA Galaxy Academy teams with sporting event set up of coolers
Assist medical staff with any additional player support needed on daily basis. Such as, but not limited to pharmacy trips, taking athletes to doctor appointments, etc. 
Required Qualifications:
A minimum education level of:BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred) Area of Study: Athletic Training, Sports Medicine or related field
A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience
Current CPR certification
Experience and knowledge of rehab programs
Experience and knowledge of prevention, recognition, evaluation, and care of athletes
NATA-BOC Certified
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, initiative, and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Soccer Experience preferred 
Master’s degree
Proficient in Spanish
