Football Australia is the national governing body for football in Australia and a member of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the international governing body for football. It governs all national teams, the A-Leagues (in Football Australia’s capacity as the regulatory body), Australia Cup, National Premier Leagues and leads state, community, and grassroots football.

This fixed-term role focuses on Principal IV, VII, IX and X and is based in the area of Participation. This role has been created to increase football participation between the ages of 4-11 in NSW and ACT. The role will oversee the development, implementation and quality delivery of the MiniRoos Kick-Off program within clubs in NSW plus within the school space in ACT.

The position will play a crucial role in supporting associations, clubs, schools and non-sport deliverers across the entire State/Territory to promote the program, better engage with our young players and to ensure a quality all-round football experience.

There is a strong focus on Women and Girls and supporting the wider FA team to support the development and growth of the Women and Girls game to leverage the Women’s World Cup 2023.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Identify, establish and promote MiniRoos Kick-Off program sites in NSW
Identify, establish and promote Sporting Schools in ACT
Identify, recruit & oversee development of program facilitators (induction & training) in ACT, with providing support to the workforce in NSW
Build relationships, work closely with local stakeholders on localised strategy to elevate and maximise reach
Identify & market in potential growth areas, including road shows to regional & remote communities
Assistance with the organisation and delivery of Schools and MiniRoos promotional and value-add events, including gala days and halftime match day activations
Promotion of MiniRoos events and resources via all channels and assist with content creation

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Customer service/sales experience
Experience within the game of football (player, coach, and administrator)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Experience working with children and parents
Proficient communication skills – confidence speaking in public and delivering information
Ability to demonstrate collaborative and inclusive approach to problem solving
Previous marketing and/or promotional experience preferred
Passion to develop the game of football
Additional Requirements:

Full working rights in Australia
Working with children check (paid/ employee) or state- based equivalent
Out of hours and weekend work as required
Attained the MiniRoos Coaching Certificate
Full Driver’s license
