ROLE DESCRIPTION
JOB DESCRIPTION
Who are we: Everton Football Club is one of world sport's most respected and revered names - a by-word for innovation and professionalism during the course of a glittering history that spans three centuries.
One of the 12 founder members of the Football League, Everton has played more games in English football's top flight than any other club.
While rightly proud of our rich past, and Goodison Park, our home of more than 130 years, we are now setting our sights on an exciting future at a state-of-the-art new stadium currently being constructed on the banks of the iconic River Mersey.
In doing so, we remain committed to developing and supporting teams across our men’s, women’s and Academy set-ups that inspire and compete at the highest level of the game.
Our values underpin how we behave, how we represent our club in our city and across the world of football, and how we look after one another and our community. They provide a framework for how we work and engage with partners, suppliers and, most importantly, our fans.
About the opportunity: We have a unique opportunity for the right individual to join our International Team and drive success against the objectives linked to the Club’s International Strategy.
The International Technical Coaching Manager (part time position) will lead on the planning and delivery of technical activities associated with the Club’s Everton Affiliate Programme and support with the wider development of the framework and delivering the associated objectives.
As International Technical Coaching Manager, you will be a supporting lead contact on all Everton Affiliate accounts from a technical perspective, ensuring affiliate club partner technical, coaching, coach education and player development objectives are met.
You will enhance the wider growth and development of the Affiliate Programme through technical support and co-presenting for new business when required and would get the opportunity to travel across several continents on a regular basis, and as such, much of this role will involve remote working and often on an unconventional schedule.
An understanding of academy/international football landscapes is desirable, whilst a flexible approach and strong time management skills are essential to effectively fulfil this role.
Not only will you get to be a part of something special as we strive for growth in this area, but you will also be the face of the delivery of the Affiliate Programme, representing the Everton International Academy on a global stage.
Who we’re looking for: We are looking for a UEFA A/B licenced coach who can demonstrate skill and experience with a variety of coaching and pedagogical techniques to maximise learning across the physical, tactical, technical, and mental aspects of player development.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and experience with international travel, and the ability to present and socialise with senior Affiliate Programme club officials, representing Everton Football Club in the best light.
If you are passionate about coaching and a self-starter with ambitious spirit who is prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, execute against ambitious goals and consistently embrace our Everton values in what you do, then we would love to hear from you!
This position is on a permanent contract and will be contracted to 17.5 hours per week.
The location for this role is within our Club’s iconic headquarters in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, with the opportunity to work flexibly with our Hybrid working approach.
The closing date of this advert is on Friday 26 July 2024.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a substantial amount of applications.
