Role description

Purpose:
The International Communications Executive is responsible for assisting Manchester City Football Club and City Football Group Communications department with translation support and support the delivery of media relations tasks, focused on footballing operations internationally.





Role specific accountabilities:

To provide translation support for media releases and for players / support teams at matches and media events

Working with international CFG clubs to provide translation support and guidance when required

Provide support and advice by liaising with CFG international clubs to support the delivery of communication action plans consistently and timely. This may involve occasional international travel

Apply knowledge of communications and media relations to coordinate international media requests and liaising with key stakeholders to engage with international journalist and media outlets

To support the Director of International Strategic Communications with media coverage monitoring internationally and to create reporting for key stakeholders

Proactively assist with projects and administration across international communications activities to ensure the smooth delivery of actions





Role specific knowledge, skills and experience:




Essential:

Knowledge of Communications and Media Relations (ideally within Football industry)
Fluent in verbal and written Spanish and Portuguese language
Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Desirable:

Fluent in verbal and written Italian and French
