CAF is recruiting an interclub competition officer.
Enforce management policies and regulations governing competitions;
Communicate with National Associations and clubs regarding the organization of interclub competitions;
Assist the Interclub Competitions Manager in all aspects relating to interclub competitions;
Participate in “inspection visits” as needed;
Provide support for the draw for interclub competitions;
Help define the match schedule, match operations, match day (D -1), match day and post-match activities;
Help produce updates/reports and circular letters to the Director and/or management;
Help prepare the post-event debriefing;
Monitor the preliminary rounds, group stage and knockout rounds of interclub competitions;
Participate in missions in other countries, as needed;
Ensure compliance with the overall administrative requirements of the general coordinators;
Help organize workshops and develop competition management tools;
Help organize committee meetings, inter-division and inter-department coordination meetings;
Examine the regulations and ensure the consistency of their content;
Participate, if applicable, in other joint activities with the competitions;
Monitor competition software (content management system-CMS);
Assist in the training and capacity building of match officials.
Bachelor's or master's degree (university degree) / certificate or diploma in sports management;
A certificate in event management will be an added advantage;
At least two (2) years of proven experience in managing football or other sporting events, competitions or similar activities;
Excellent knowledge of areas related to competition management, such as match operations, tournament/event management, communication between teams and officials, and resulting relationships;
Passion for organizing professional football events;
Ability to manage dynamic and ever-changing situations in a multicultural environment while maintaining high energy levels and a positive spirit;
Strong written and oral communication skills;
Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken, is essential; fluency in Arabic and/or Portuguese is an asset;
Ability to work under pressure;
Management of time;
Ability to take initiatives;
Good computer skills - Ability to use all CAF online tools.
