Main goal
The ICT Data Governance Architect Manager maximises the value of UEFA data, to reduce risks and ensure that data is a trusted strategic asset supporting business objectives. They support various business domains and bring value by promoting standardised data, processes, people and technologies.
Key responsibilities
Data governance- Supporting any corporate enterprise information management initiative by representing ICT strategy on datamanagement;- Defining and maintaining roles, responsibilities and processes for ensuring accountability for and ownership ofdata assets within UEFA;- Ensuring that there are secure methods, sets of responsibilities and processes to standardise, integrate, protect,store, archive and delete corporate data;- Ensuring that UEFA data catalogue is diligently maintained up to date, incl. sources, datasets and metadata;- Ensuring that data is handled securely and in accordance with regulations: GDPR, FADP, etc.;- Defining and enforcing data quality strategies, including roles, processes, tools and KPIs;- Advising and training delivery teams on data governance;- Implementing a data-driven culture plan within UEFA ICT;
Data architecture- Maintaining the overall UEFA data architecture framework;- Maintaining UEFA data guidelines and policies, such as on quality, security and ownership;- Performing regular assessments on UEFA ICT data maturity;- Advising delivery teams on data architecture: database designs, storage systems, processing pipelines, etc.;- Maintaining and following a specific set of data-centric projects;
Team manager- Managing a team of experts and consultants on data, physical archives and data privacy issues;- Driving the relationship with external third parties and partners on data governance and architecture topics;- Fostering a data-driven approach in UEFA ICT data, balancing opportunities and risks;
Other- Monitoring the market for innovation in tools, process and technologies;- Ensuring that the ICT mandate on data privacy issues is performing in accordance with objectives;- Working in collaboration with all other data stakeholders: ICT analytics team, UEFA data team and other internalcustomers;- Liaising with Enterprise Architect on strategic and tactical matters involving data and contributing to strategic ICTroadmaps;- Communicating regularly with stakeholders on data governance activities and initiatives;
Profile
Experience required:- From 4 to 6 years' experience in data management
Education:- Master's degree in information technology
Languages:- English / Proficient
Additional requirements:- Knowledge of physical archiving practices would be an asset- Knowledge of data catalogue tools: Informatica, Collibra Alation, etc. / Expert- Data modelling and design tools: DAMA-DMBOK2, etc. / Advanced- Data architecture framework: TOGAF, DCAM, etc. / Advanced- Data management tools: Dataiku, Snowflake, AWS S3, etc. / Good- Service life cycle management and methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, ITIL, SaFe, etc. / Good- Team management / Advanced- Experience working in a multicultural environment- Ability to influence and work in a matrix organisation- Open-minded, positive attitude
