Role description

Main goal
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist has a strong technical and business background in IAM as well as a general understanding of information security principles. The IAM Specialist excels in programme management and has the necessary soft and hard skills to propose, enforce and optimise IAM processes from both a business and a security perspective.

Key responsibilities
Nature of tasks:
- Build and review an IAM programme to meet organisational and cybersecurity objectives;
- Build an IAM roadmap that meets business requirements without compromising security;
- Develop, implement and monitor UEFA’s IAM policies and procedures and ensure that IAM processes are integrated effectively into its tools;
- Define, maintain and enhance the IAM toolset, ensuring that it meets organisational and security objectives;
- Lead the creation of guidelines and training courses on IAM best practices;
- Manage a team of external and internal employees whose goal is to implement the IAM roadmap;
- Work closely with support teams to ensure efficient IAM support during and outside of UEFA events;
- Lead and host meetings with business stakeholders about IAM requirements and best practices;
- Ensure that the IAM team provides consistent documentation concerning IAM processes and implementations;
- Ensure that the IAM team and other ICT stakeholders report back to ICT and UEFA top management as necessary during and outside of UEFA events;
- Monitor new ICT projects to ensure their compliance with the new IAM policy;
- Direct the testing of new functionalities;
- Provide technical expertise, remove blockers, deliver scope items, identify security vulnerabilities and effectively communicate with project stakeholders;
- Contribute to UEFA’s role model analysis and implementation in order to improve access security;
- Support the information security team in project management, change management and communication activities

Experience required:
- A minimum of seven years of experience as an IT project manager, with proven experience of eliciting requirements
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in the area of IAM
- Experience of industry-adopted IAM standards and best practices

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant area, or equivalent work experience

- English / Fluent

Additional requirements:
- Good knowledge of information security
- Good technical knowledge of market-leading IAM solutions such as SailPoint IdentityIQ, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and Azure Active Directory would be an advantage
- Good understanding of how various systems interconnect with one another
- Strong ability to work with the company’s IT staff and management, partners, vendors and consultants and to communicate with top management
