We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, progressive thinking HR Business Partner & EDI Lead to join our amazing team at Nottingham Forest Football Club and share our passion for HR, EDI & Wellbeing.

The successful candidate will be progress driven, taking responsibility for working to meet the requirements of the EDI & Wellbeing Standard as directed by the Premier league (PLEDIS) whilst providing expert HR support to the Club.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
You’ll provide immediate ‘in the moment’ advice on a day-to-day basis that takes into account the very latest employment legislation.
The cases you’ll handle will vary from disciplinary and grievance cases to performance and capability issues, ranging in degrees of complexity, from straight-forward return-to-work cases, to potential gross misconduct cases.
With our aim of driving line manager capability, you will use your coaching ability to effectively coach managers.
Be responsible for effective ED&I communication within and across the Club, producing and recommending actions required to achieve the aims of the ED&I strategy.
Demonstrate the Clubs commitment to equality at the highest level and communicate this to all supporter’s, staff and stakeholders.
Development and continuous review of the Clubs Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy in line with activity or changes to legislation and any other policies relevant to the ED&I work.
Produce an EDI Action Plan for the Club
Undertake equality monitoring, review the data and identify key trends and priority areas of work.
Provide clear guidelines for reporting and managing incidents of discrimination, harassment or abuse.
Identify actions that will work towards increasing the diversity of the Club.
Identify/recommend appropriate training and/or briefings to all staff and key personnel associated with the club.
Pro-actively review and recommend new opportunities with key stakeholders/departments to further support the success of our ED&I objectives, such as new job boards, new training, new policies, external working groups etc.
To adhere to the Club’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.
Implement the Clubs Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy and action plan
Jointly manage (with HR and Payroll) the Occupational Health providers, and other health benefit providers and drive further utilisation and employee awareness of services
In collaboration with the communications team design and implement mental health and wellbeing initiatives for key campaigns across the year
Implement training and development program for leadership groups with a specific focus on EDI, mental health and wellbeing
Design and deliver training session addressing key topics supporting EDI, mental health and wellbeing
Provide support and guidance to mental health ambassadors, contributing to reflective practice and supporting initiatives throughout the year
Identify and prevent work related health problems and promote healthy working environments across the Club.
Provide quarterly reporting on mental health and wellbeing goals and progress at the Club’s Health and Safety committees and ensure that health and safety performance is accurately reported and communicated.
You will always strive to deliver the team’s high customer satisfaction targets with your focus on giving professional, friendly, and expert advice.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

3 years' experience in an advisory HR role
CIPD Level 5 qualification (desirable)
A solid understanding of the Equality Act 2010
Ability to network and build relationships in a variety of areas
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate
Ability to champion ED&I issues and challenge appropriately
Previous experience of successfully implementing employee EDI, health & wellbeing initiatives.
Experience of delivering training
