ROLE DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Outreach Coordinator is actively out in the community, building relationships, attending events, learning community needs, and developing initiatives and programs focused on Hispanic/Latino businesses, organizations, neighborhoods and schools. Through the game of soccer, the Community Outreach Coordinator will connect with various Hispanic/Latino groups to further cultivate inclusion and involvement at CFC games and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Build and maintain strong relationships with local Hispanic/Latino businesses, organizations and community leaders to garner mutual support and advocate for CFC and its initiatives. You will be a liaison between CFC and the Hispanic/Latino community, addressing concerns and building support.

● Assist in increasing revenue potential by supporting Ticket Sales staff with ideas and actions for new tickets and renewals.

● Provide exceptional customer service to Hispanic/Latino ticket holders and fans, through timely and professional follow-up, presence at games and events, and interactions to determine levels of satisfaction and ways to improve customer service.

● Organize, manage, and attend community events, programs, workshops, and outreach initiatives. This could involve coordination of logistics, securing venues, handling registrations, and overseeing event execution.

● Provide Spanish content for media and public interactions, press releases, and social media sites.

● Language and Communication Support: Provide bilingual support and communication materials to effectively engage with Spanish-speaking participants and their families, ensuring clear and accurate messaging to facilitate communication and understanding.

● Recruit, train, and oversee other Hispanic volunteers to assist with community and youth events/activities.

● Work closely with internal CFC teams including Marketing, Communications, and Finance to align Hispanic outreach efforts with overall club goals.

● Identify the needs and interests of the community through personal interactions with individuals and groups. Develop outreach programs and events tailored to meet those needs.

● Track and analyze the impact of community events and programs by event participation numbers and follow-through to game attendance and support. Provide regular reports and feedback to management.

● Promote diversity and inclusion within the community and ensure all activities and events are accessible and welcoming to everyone.

● Assist other staff members as requested and needed to meet organization goals.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
● Bachelor Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
● One (1) year experience in community relations, public relations, or project/event management preferred. Sports-industry experience a plus.
● Proficiency in both written and spoken Spanish and English languages.
● Skilled in navigating diverse cultural contexts.
● Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
● High Proficiency in both written and verbal communications (public speaking and presentation).
● Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
● Strong time-management, organization and analytical skills.
● Strong work ethic with high personal accountability, business ethics and morals.
● Ability to be flexible, prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
● Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator a plus.
