About the Job OL Reign was established in 2012 as a founding member of the National Women’s Soccer League. The NWSL is made up of twelve teams and is widely considered to be one of the most competitive professional soccer leagues in the world. Our players have captured the NWSL Shield three times and have made five appearances in the NWSL postseason. OL Reign plays its home matches at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.  OL Reign is seeking a High Performance Director to bring the club’s Performance Philosophy to life for all First Team and Academy players. This position will be responsible for overseeing the development of all performance programs, including strength, conditioning, injury prevention, and assessments. This position is a full-time role in Seattle, WA, and will report to the General Manager.  Responsibilities Create the club’s performance philosophy and strategy for First Team and Academy players. Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director to develop and execute fundamental sport science/medicine processes, including monitoring and management of player workloads and recovery. Develop procedures for specific performance considerations, such as altitude training and time zone adjustment. Lead all aspects of the team’s athletic performance assessment and monitoring processes, including regular physiological and biomechanical assessments. Interpret player data along with general movement observations to build detailed strength training, conditioning, and injury prevention training requirements. Oversee all data analysis and distribution, and the development and communication of corrective rehabilitation and return-to-play programs. Assist in the evaluation of player movement performance and proficiency. Monitor player nutrition as guided by club and National Team nutritionists. Plan and deliver scientifically based optimal recovery strategies post-practice and post-game. Provide supervision to all High Performance staff. Manage work agreements and scheduling for external contractors. Create and manage the budget for the High Performance department.  Experience & Skills Minimum of 3 years experience managing high performance & conditioning soccer programs in collegiate, professional, or international environments Experience working in a professional women’s sporting environment preferred. Masters or PHD in Exercise/Sport Physiology, Sport Science, Exercise Science or Strength, Conditioning.  NSCA - Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification or European Equivalent (UKSCA (United Kingdom strength and conditioning association) and BASES (British association of sport and exercise science) Accreditation. First Aid and CPR certification Vast knowledge of medical equipment, technology, and performance aspects specific to soccer Experience utilizing video editing tools, such as Final Cut Pro or Premier Experience contributing to applied sports performance research and development initiatives Skilled in leading, motivating and developing employees.  High degree of personal integrity, supporting club culture, values, and objectives.  Strong communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be available for travel throughout the season, inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required. Proficient experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)  Compensation This is an exempt position and is paid a base salary range between $120,000 - $170,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.    OL Reign is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
