Health Screening Coordinator

About the opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Screening Coordinator to join our growing Everton in the Community health and wellbeing team.
As Health Screening Coordinator, you will coordinate the effective delivery of one of EitC’s health screening programmes, delivered out of the first of its kind purpose built mental health and wellbeing hub - the Peoples Place.
The Peoples Place will act as a community diagnostics hub for a range of health screening activities, including cardio-pulmonary screening, which will be one of the first of it’s kind in the UK.
This role involves developing and sustaining effective relationships with healthcare organisations, funders and the local community to ensure access to a range of health screening activities, as well as health and wellbeing programmes to support lifestyles of those accessing the screening.
The role will also involve supporting the coordination of other health and wellbeing activities and programmes to be delivered from the the Peoples Place.
Other key responsibilities will include:
Working collaboratively with partners (e.g. GPs, Primary Care Networks, NHS) to identify individuals and groups to be efficiently referred onto the programme.
The coordination of engagement activities/events to promote the programme and establish referral pathways into Peoples Place activities.
Developing effective relationships with a range of healthcare organisations and networks to access Peoples Place activities.
Liaising with EitC’s GP and health promotion team to organise health checks and long-term health condition screening activities delivered out of The Peoples Place
Traveling independently to reach various sites across the Liverpool City Region to attend sessions and meetings including at times working evening and weekends.
Safeguarding
To understand the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment.
Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are looking for an individual who has experience of engaging people from different ages, backgrounds, and health status and has a genuine passion for supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing.
Other key Knowledge and Skills will include:
Experience of coordinating innovative health promotion, engagement and screening activities/ events.
Experience of engaging with healthcare organisations (e.g GPs, Primary Care Networks, NHS)
Ability to plan, deliver, develop, and monitor health and wellbeing programmes and events.
Ability to build trust and rapport quickly, enjoying interacting with a wide variety of people.
High levels of patience and empathy whilst engaging with vulnerable groups
Health related qualification
Full, clean driving license.
