Health & Performance Manager (M/F/X)



THIS WILL BE YOUR FUNCTION

It is of the utmost importance that the players from all Belgian national teams, as well as the Belgian referees, perform at the peak of their physical and mental capabilities.

In that respect, the health & performance department of the KBVB is responsible for strategies regarding physical performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation, mental well-being, nutrition and medical health; and this for all Belgian national teams (men, women and Futsal) and the referees of the Professional Refereeing Department of the KBVB; as well as for leading a team of professionals in all these domains and for all these shifts. The department consists of several pillars: physical performance, mental health, medical/injury prevention and nutrition.

As a health and performance manager you are part of the Sports and Arbitration departments and you report to the Technical Management of the KBVB.

The following tasks are part of your assignment:

You are responsible for the development, implementation and follow-up of the health & performance strategy of the KBVB, which consists of the national teams and the Professional Refereeing Department; and you provide guidance to both regional federations (VV & ACFF) to ensure a uniform approach in all departments;
You will play an important role in recruiting and leading a high performance staff for our various programs & national teams to support our players, players and referees to reach their full potential with the qualities to progress through the age categories;
You manage the budget efficiently;
You are a key figure in the Belgian football community (VV, ACFF, Pro League & KBVB) bringing people together to exchange ideas, stay abreast of the latest innovations and create an environment that helps Belgian football to progress to be booked as a whole; entering into partnerships with clubs in Belgium and abroad is a crucial part of this position;
You lead a team of experts in different domains (sports psychology, physical performance, medicine, nutrition...);
You build a strong (international) network that can help you develop the department;
You supervise the efficient use of products, equipment and devices from the health & performance department.


DO YOU RECOGNIZE YOURSELF IN THIS PROFILE?

You have at least 5 years of relevant knowledge in the field of sports performance, medical or paramedical skills;
You have experience working in a top sports environment;
You can lead a high quality staff;
You are able to develop a long-term strategy;
You are strong in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners;
You have the ability to connect people and push your employees to the highest level;
You have a driver's license and your own car.
Your language skills

You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
Your personality

You have strong communication and organizational skills;
You have a clearly positive attitude;
You are committed to taking Belgian football to a higher level;
You are constantly looking for improvements and solutions;
You attach great importance to service and integrity;
