Role description

For our Technical Directorate we are looking for a motivated person for the position of

Health and performance coordinator (M/F/X)


The Health & Performance department of the RBFA is responsible for well-being, medical health and the optimization of performance for the technical department of the RBFA. The department consists of all medical staff, mental coaches, performance coaches, cooks, nutritionists, etc.

As a Health & Performance coordinator you are part of the sports department and you report to the Technical Directorate of the KBVB.

Your duties include the following:

You coordinate the Health & Performance department of the KBVB and are responsible for the department's long-term strategy;
You are responsible for the composition of a high-performance (para)medical staff in men's and women's football, referee department, detection, etc. (doctor, physiotherapist, physical coach, sports scientist, masseur, mental coach,...);
You create a pool of potential reinforcements for the department;
You lead task forces with experts in different domains (sports psychology, data science, medicine, ...);
You manage the material and equipment of the department such as physio equipment, recovery equipment (Normatech, Game Ready), GPS, heart monitoring, etc.;
You manage the budget of the Health & Performance department in collaboration with the technical management;
You build strong relationships with the Pro League, ACFF, VV and the various departments of the KBVB;
You are always aware of the latest evolutions in sport and you apply them where they can add value.


You have a medical or paramedical background;
You are able to develop a long-term strategy in the field of Health & performance in collaboration with the technical management;
You are strong in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners;
You have experience working in a top sports environment;
You can lead (in an inspiring way) a team of highly educated employees;
You like to work in a flexible schedule including weekends;
You are in possession of a driver's license and your own transport;

Your language skills

You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English;
