La personne occupant ce poste est responsable de l’équipe de préparateur physique de l’Académie et assurer une performance et préparation optimales des athlètes. Avec son équipe, elle est responsable de toutes les phases de préparation physique et médicale ainsi que la réadaptation des joueurs et joueuses de l’Académie et assistera le personnel du département dans la gestion et les opérations quotidiennes. Le poste demande un engagement envers un horaire fluctuant les jours de semaine ainsi que les fins de semaine et jour de match selon les besoins de l’Académie.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Academy's physical preparation team
Ensure the physical preparation of Academy athletes as needed in collaboration with existing staff;
Analyze the physical performance of athletes during training and matches, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement;
Take charge of the rehabilitation of the injured;
Ensure the physical development of athletes by providing advice, demonstrations and exercises specific to their needs;
Apply the Club’s philosophy of performance, development and training;
Collaborate closely with the therapists and coaching staff of the Academy;
Support staff in preparing and leading sessions.
Lead reinforcement sessions with the teams.
Ensure physical preparation needs during matches and accompany athletes during travel related to a match, competition or event;
Educate and raise awareness among players regarding high-level sport;
Facilitate continuous communication between technical, medical staff and team management to ensure optimal performance;
Help team members carry out daily tasks as well as supervise interns;
Keep player files up to date;
Constantly research new techniques and ways of treating high-level athletes;
Adhere to the guiding principles of the MLS and the Club and ensure compliance with the rules and guiding principles at all times;
Assist with post-practice and post-match cleaning;
Represent CF Montreal at local and regional events, be an ambassador;
Perform other related duties.
Job description
The person in this position is responsible for the Academy's team of physical trainers and for ensuring optimal performance and preparation of the athletes. With his team, the person is responsible for all phases of physical and medical preparation and rehabilitation of Academy players and will assist the department staff in day-to-day management and operations. The position requires a commitment to a fluctuating schedule on weekdays as well as weekends and game days, depending on the Academy's needs.
Main responsabilities

Take charge of the reathletization of injured athletes;
Ensure the physical development of athletes by providing advice, demonstrations and exercises specific to their needs;
Apply the Club's performance, development and training philosophy;
Work closely with Academy therapists and coaching staff;
Support staff in preparing and running sessions.
Lead reinforcement sessions with teams.
Ensure physical preparation needs during matches and accompany athletes when traveling to matches, competitions or events;
Educate and sensitize players to high-level sport;
Facilitate ongoing communication between technical and medical staff and team management to ensure optimal performance;
Assist team members in the performance of daily tasks and supervision of trainees;
Keep players files up to date;
Constantly research new techniques and ways of dealing with high-level athletes;
Adhere to MLS and Club guidelines and ensure compliance at all times;
Assist with post-training and post-game clean-up;
Represent CF Montreal at local and regional events, be an ambassador;
Perform all other related duties.
Required qualifications
The personality! Proactive, innovative, solution-oriented, with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, additional training in nutrition or bodybuilding, master's degree an asset;
Certification in physical preparation is an asset;
A minimum of 5 years' experience with sports clients, ideally in high-level sports, experience in field coverage or private clinic;
Demonstrated team management and leadership skills;
GPS (Global Position System) proficiency;
Valid passport;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines;
Great attention to detail, rigor and precision;
Fluent written and spoken French and English;
Very good knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite;
Canadian Soccer Association C license is an asset;
The position requires regular travel to cover all Academy team matches at home and abroad, according to schedule.
