The FIFA World Cup 26 will mark the first time that the tournament features 48 teams and will be hosted by three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the USA.This new format redefines excellence, generating unique opportunities for greater participation and engagement from fans and players in North America and all over the world. Reporting organisationally to the Executive Director Workforce, the Head of Volunteer Management will be a key member of the FIFA26 team, and work in close collaboration with the FIFA Global Team Lead Volunteer Management, FIFA Director Services, and other key individuals responsible for delivering the FIFA World Cup 2026 Volunteer Program.The main responsibilities of the Head of Volunteer Management for the FIFA World Cup 2026 include but are not limited to:

Support the finalization of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Volunteer Concept which will be the baseline for all 3 host countries (Canada, Mexico and USA)
Oversee the implementation of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Volunteer Concept in all Host Countries (Canada, Mexico and USA)
Ensure consistency in the delivery of the volunteer programme across the three host countries (Canada, Mexico and USA)
Oversee FIFA Volunteer Platform using the Volunteer journey milestones
Planning and delivery of key programme milestones including but not limited to: launch event, uniform reveal, orientation days, thank you parties and other special events
Develop a communications and promotional plan for the volunteer programme in collaboration with Communications, Brand, Marketing Rights Delivery and Promotion areas
Ensure all Functional Areas volunteer requirements are adequately scoped
